The main beach in the centre of the village.
The only beach with wheelchair access In front of the beach is the
town sqaure where there are some restaurants and some stalls selling
all sorts of goods. Often in the evenings there is live entertainment.

Vale de Covo
This beach is hidden by the Hotel Almansor.
Vale de Centianes
A popular beach but with limited parking
Well worth a visit. Access to the beach has recently been repaired
after a large rock fall. There is a beach restaurant and bar on
the beach.
Carvalho beach
This beach is also known as "smugglers
cove" and is reached from the car park at Club Atlantico.
Acess is down a long flight of steps and a tunnel. It can also be
reached from Benagil.
Benagil Beach
This a lovely beach which is a lot bigger
than it would seem from the road. Parking is on the road of a very
steep hairpin bend and then on foot past the fishing boats.There
are several good restaurants in the village and often there is live
entertainment on the beach during the long summer evenings.
Marinha Beach
Car parking is on the cliffs above the beach
which offers some breathtaking views of the beach and the rocks. Access
to the beach is via steps cut through the cliff. There is a beach
bar open during the summer months.
Albandeira Beach
This beach is reached down a long track
and has a reputation for good surfing waves.

Paraiso Beach
This is the first beach west out of Carvoeiro
heading towards Ferragudo on the coast road. Access to the beach is
via a long flight of steps down the cliff.
Caneiros
This lovely little beach is at the end of
a cul de sac where you can park by the roadside. Access to the beach
is through the cliffs. There is a beach bar, restaurant and a small
shop selling fruit, snacks and drinks.
Pintadinho
Access to this beach is by road down
a steep hil. There is plenty of parking. There is a new beach restaurant
The beach is adjacent to the eastern breakwater of the Arade estuary
opposite the new Portimao marina. You can see views of the breakwater
and beyond towards Praia da Rocha and beyond towards Lagos.
Eastern
Breakwater (Next
to Pintadinho)
This beach is adjacent to the eastern breakwater
of the Arade estuary opposite the new Portimao marina. and is reached
via a flight of steps from the top of the cliff car park.You can walk
to the end of the breakwater and get fabulous views of Portimao and
also the whole coastline of Praia da Rocha and beyond towards Lagos.
Praia Grande Ferragudo
A very large beach facing Praia da Rocha
and the new marina Lots of watersports and windsurfing. There is a
car park and some steps down the cliff. There are several bars and
restaurants and a small beach bar around the rocks to the right.
Praia da Rocha
This is probably the most photographed beach
in the Algarve. It is very long and very wide and in the sun can be
almost too hot.There are a number of points of access onto the beach
mainly by steps down through the cliffs. There is level access form
the car park opposite the Hotel Jupiter in the centre of Praia da
Rocha.
